Better than one and Branson

Last week I hosted our full-day advisory meeting with a few of our estate agent clients.
We meet at a central location with everything we need – conference facilities, restaurant, rooms for those staying over and a nice beer afterwards.
Each month, the agenda is slightly different, but the one section that rewards us all time and time again is the “Faster Stream” session.
I send them an email a few days before, asking them to think about something in particular, like:
What will you stop doing and what will you start to do in 2020?
Or:
Here’s a common client scenario — what do YOU do?
What’s amazing is that every single person comes up with different answers,
And as a result, because we’re all exposed to different ways of thinking, and different problems and opportunities, we all learn from each other.
We’ve been having these meetings every month for the last year, and the results have been amazing, with every single attendee crediting them as having a significant impact on their business growth.
So, why does it work?
Simple really: two heads are better than one. In the words of the great Richard Branson:
“Two heads are definitely better than one and by brainstorming as a team and sourcing ideas from each other, you have a better chance of coming up with a strategy that will allow your business to overcome a setback or challenge.”
When you get together with others in the same industry to you, you open yourself up to a whole world of new ideas, tactics, strategies and philosophies, many of which can be taken and used in your own agency.
The long and short of it is that if you’re stuck within your own four walls, and you’re not being exposed to anything new, you’re definitely missing out on crucial perspectives from outside your bubble.

If that is your situation, I strongly urge you to change that – If you need any help to make it happen, please contact our branding team or email dave@propertystream.co
